I wasn't aware that returns had to be made within a certain period of time,i assumed if it still had the tag on and wasn't used (only to try on and find it didn't fit), would be able to return or exchange, however not the case ..." I made an extension with a strap and rings, looped it through his collar , fastened it on to the leash clip and now he CANNOT escape. hope this helps everyone.
